The Joy Luck Club

The Joy Luck Club must be an excellent piece of literature since Ms. Faughey wants us to read it! My first impressions are its a thick book so it will have boring parts, it will be predominately about females, their problems/struggles, and lastly it will have Chinese/Korean/Japanese/Vietnamese/etc.. words and names in the text similar to Things fall Apart. These impressions were based upon me skimming the book while smelling the odor the pages. Hopefully I can get though the first page.
