My New Journey

"Extremely Funny . . .Inspired Lunacy . . . [and] over much soon." -The Washington Post Book World"[A] Whimsical Odyssey . . . Characters frolic through the galaxy with infectious joy." -Publishers Weekly.

For my independent reading I chose to read Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy because it has inspired a major motion picture which is extremely prestigious. I have also read several reviews and found that readers are filled with laughter. I expect this book to be hilarious and a good topic for discussion. I am enthusiastic about reading it because it might be the first book I have read since nearly a year! The author Douglas Adams English was an author, comic radio dramatist, and musician. He died in 2001 of a heart attack. Known as a fan of technology, he was the second person to buy a Mac in the UK. This book will most likely take me two weeks to read if I follow my 100 pages a week plan.

In my opinion, I think "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" is excellent read. You wont have the chance to eat or sleep because of it. Might I also add that this was a very well written blog. Good job Ashikul! You will surely become an overachieving scholar.

Tell me about it, it has been a while since I have had time to read a book as well.

A lot of people who I knew told em that "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" is a fantastic book to read, especially when you are in need of some good laugh.

Yet, still I am not convince what makes this book so special or worth reading, so we're gonna have to talk about this in person. =]lol

This independent reading project is great because I am actually getting a chance to read during the school year. I read the novel last year, but didn't see the movie. The book was funny indeed. Superb job w/ your blog!

I didn't see the movie or read the book but I did hear that it was very good by teachers and classmates. You writing style is very good and shows good education. You also showed good vocabulary.

I am also reading this book and i would love to know what you think about it. I feel that it was quite ironic as the Protagonist's house was going to be demolished for a super highway just as the earth had the same fate.

I thinkm that The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is anawsome book. I haven't read it yet , but if it's anything liek the book than it should be hilarious. I saw the movie and my favorite part in it was whenever they pushed da button something weird always happens. Does that happen n the book too?

I guess by now you're probably done with the book. But whatever, I'll still comment you. I do feel the same way after i haven't read for a while, i get real high expectations. But then i realize it's just reading, so, it passes by fast.
